Gold prices have hit a new record today, increasing by 1,400 rupees to 167,400 rupees per tola, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. This follows a previous record of 166,700 rupees per tola set on Kartik 7.
On Friday, the price was 166,000 rupees per tola. Analysts attribute the recent rise in precious metal prices to global conflicts and Russia’s proposal for BRICS countries to create a separate metal exchange.
Additionally, central bank interest rate policies have contributed to the price increase. Today, silver also saw a rise of 15 rupees, reaching 2,085 rupees per tola, up from 2,070 rupees on Friday.
