Government Boosts Revenue by Over NPR 133 Billion in Poush
The government has collected approximately NPR 496 billion in revenue, equivalent to 34.9% of the targeted revenue for the current fiscal year from Shrawn to Poush (six months). In the month of Poush alone, revenue collection reached NPR 133 billion. The government aimed to collect a total revenue of NPR 1.422 trillion for the entire fiscal year, including other sources of income, amounting to NPR 518 billion.
According to the Office of the Auditor General, the government has spent around NPR 566 billion during this period, which accounts for 32.35% of the annual expenditure target. As of now, the government has utilized 38.31% of the recurrent expenditure and 16.9% of the capital expenditure budget allocated for the fiscal year. The targeted capital expenditure is NPR 320 billion, and it is estimated that 26.02% of the financial budget has been spent during this period.
