MYAGDI, OCTOBER 27 – A drone has been deployed to deliver daily essentials, each weighing under five kilograms, to Mohare Danda, a popular tourist destination in Annapurna Rural Municipality, Myagdi district. The items were transported from Nagi in Annapurna Rural Municipality-8, according to Bharat Kumar Pun, the chairperson of the rural municipality.
The drone, developed by the National Innovation Centre (NIC), was tested on Friday and Saturday, successfully carrying supplies to Mohare Danda. Pun highlighted that the use of drones could be especially beneficial for delivering medicine and essential items to remote or disaster-affected areas.
